Eagle Chapter, Air Force Security Forces Association,
is offering a commemorative "Challenge Coin" in remembrance of A1C Elizabeth N. Jacobson, and as a means to
raise funds for the Proud Warrior program. Elizabeth became the first female Security Forces member Killed in Action when her convoy was
struck by an IED on September 28, 2005 near Safwan, Iraq. The coin was designed with the help of Elizabeth’s
Grandmother, Sondra Millman. Through the kindness of the management of KV Coins, San Antonio, Texas, who donated the
design and production costs, we are now able to offer the coin for a $10.00 donation to the Proud Warrior Fund. Since 2003, the Eagle Chapter of the Air Force Security Forces Association, in combination with the generosity of Security Force members, has operated the Proud Warrior Program to provide
visitation, mementoes and financial support to wounded Security Forces members. To date, the Eagle Chapter has
assisted eighteen enlisted and officer Proud Warriors. For those Security Forces members who have
made the ultimate sacrifice, Eagle Chapter members attend services when the internment is at Arlington or other local national
military cemetery and provides family members support and commemorative gifts.

Why a Coin? Simple, Challenge Coins are recognized worldwide as a symbol of duty and honor. Since WWI,
when medallions were first struck for flying units, through to today where Challenge Coins are given when a member joins
an organization, awarded to improve morale or created to commerate special occasions, the coin symbolizes a bond between the
holder and the military unit or cause. Every USAF Airman, upon graduation from Basic Military Training, is awarded an
Airman's Coin. To
